DUNAEWSKY69 (Ukraine)
Dunaewsky69 is a moniker for Olexandr Gladun. After leaving successful career of the professional true fighter-pilot in a special air-forces of Ukrainian army, Olexandr Gladun started his music activities in 1997 as a grind-core and death metal drums and guitar player, as long as prolific experimenter with home-made electronic and analogue noise mixtures. As a part of Haimorith project, in 1997 Gladun had a collaboration with a well-known Japanese noise core group C.S.S.O on DAC Productions label. Later Dunaewsky69 experimented with jazz, as a drums player in a brass orchestra, played in numerous concerts and festivals, continued studying other music instruments, such as accordion, that he uses even now during his electronic live-sets.
Since 2001 Olexandr concentrated mostly on electronic sound and finally formulated his main output project Dunaewsky69, and in few years already had a successful release "Contiguity" on Moscow label Shaped Harmonics, run by Novel 23. Now Dunaewsky69 is one of the most wanted electronic artists on different experimental electronic and dance events in Ukraine, played on festivals as "Detali Zvuku" and "I Love Techno" in Kyiv, "Izhevsk Underwater festival" in Russia.
Gentle, minimalistic and pure soundscapes, straight and lacerated beats with beautiful abstract melodies, improvisations and short, but powerful inspiration, create very deep and remote tale that sings about harmony, sensitive threads, fare emotional experiences and depth of revelations of our own roads. With his music Dunaewsky69 follows visual wise kaleidoscopes of searches for original states, frequent meditations and unlimited possibilities of sound.
